More Info

On this tape, we hear a collection of songs performed by the Syrian artist Siham Ibrahim, most of which are from her 1986 album Yom Lu'aak, released by the Sawt Masr label. Additionally, the tape features renowned tracks originally performed by other artists, such as Amenti Billah by Nour Dakkash, composed by Farid Ghosn. Syrian singer and actress Siham Ibrahim was born in 1957 in Latakia. Her artistic journey began in 1977 when she appeared on the Lebanese variety show Between Twenty and Forty, produced by renowned director Simon Asmar. At just 17, she was a guest of honor, earning praise from audiences. After the Lebanese war began, she returned to Syria, where she won a talent show and joined the Syrian Radio and Television Authority in 1978. Known for her romantic, popular, and patriotic songs, she recorded in various Arabic dialects, producing hits across the region. Her career spanned Syria, Lebanon, and Egypt, collaborating with legendary composers like Sayed Makkawi, Mahmoud Al-Sharif, Farouk Salama, and Baligh Hamdi. Unfortunately, some of her work remained unreleased due to production and licensing issues.
