Renowned Syrian artist Samara Alsamara was born in Suweida in 1970. After singing locally for four years, he rose to prominence in 1996. Encouraged by a meeting with Wadih El Safi, Samara studied music, mastered the oud, and joined the Syrian Artists Syndicate in 1998. His breakout hit Aqrab bi Sadrak marked a turning point in his career, earning widespread acclaim and catapulting him to fame. His work continued to evolve, culminating in the release of his album Aajouba. In 2007, he released the album Janen, featuring a collection of songs such as Khaddak Khad and Rasak 'Ala Sadri, which are included on this cassette. He has won multiple awards, including two Golden Ornina Awards, and has performed at festivals across Syria, Cyprus, Lebanon, and Egypt.
