More Info

This is a 1966 recording of a concert by Syrian artist Nour Mhanna at the Burj al-Fardous Hotel in Damascus. Nour Mhanna, an artist deeply rooted in the belief that creativity stems from a profound connection to the past, was the first to revive Suad Mohammed’s song Wahshatni. Expanding on this, he introduced Wala Marra Kinna Sawa, composed by Melhem Barakat, followed by Ana 'Eayni Lak, La’ala W ‘Asa, and many other original pieces that highlight his distinctive Tarab style. By 2020, Mhanna had created a remarkable 167 songs of his own. After a 12-year hiatus from the stage, he made his return in 2024 with a live concert in Dubai.
