A variety of live songs and radio performances performed by the artist Ma'an Dandashi. Musician and singer Ma’an Dandashi (1927–2011) is regarded as one of Syria’s earliest folk artists, celebrated for his authentic voice and unique presence on the artistic scene. Ma'an Dandashi came from a family of social, political, artistic and cultural activists. This background contributed to his talent and vocal quality. He learned to play the oud from his mother. He began his artistic career in the 1950s, performing at local gatherings in Talkalakh, where he became known as the town's singer. At the age of 20, he moved to Damascus to work as a singer for Syrian Radio, where he recorded over 80 songs and performed at numerous national events and significant occasions. Dandashi also took part in Fairouz’s first concert and represented Syria in 84 countries around the world. From the collection of Mohammed Al Masri (Bulbul Sharq) in Damascus.
