All the songs you'll hear in this recording were originally performed in the Syrian TV series Wadi Al Misk, which was produced in 1982 and consists of 17 episodes. The series was written by Muhammad al-Maghut and Duraid Laham, and directed by Khaldun al-Malih. Most of these songs are performed by the renowned Syrian actor Duraid Laham, joined by other actors from the series, including Mona Wassef, Rafik Subaihi, Omar Hajjo, Yassin Baqoush, and Naji Jabr. The songs in this recording vary in style, ranging from dramatic to comedic. Some of the notable songs include Laqouna ala al-wadi , Ya ahl al-qanoun and Agniyat Salama .
