This cassette includes a special recording of the Syrian artist Muhammad Dalloul Abu Dalloul in Kuwait, where he sings Attaba and folk songs accompanied by the rababa instrument. Abu Dalloul is a renowned regional rababa player known as the pioneer of Taldara, a small town near Salamiyah in central Syria. He is celebrated for his mastery of the Salmoni and Western (Sahel) styles, captivating audiences with his ability to sing and improvise for hours without pause, often challenging the most esteemed poets. The cassette is part of a collection curated by Ghassan Qaddour, a dedicated historical researcher who has devoted his efforts to collecting, documenting, and preserving the rich tangible and intangible folklore of the Hama governorate.
