This cassette recording captures a special evening with Hashem Abu Qasem singing and storytelling, accompanied by the rababa. Abu Qasem hails from the village of Taldara in Salamiya, south of Hama. He is renowned for his beautiful voice and craftsmanship in building the rababa instrument. He has produced very few cassettes. The cassette is part of a collection curated by Ghassan Qaddour, a dedicated historical researcher who has devoted his efforts to collecting, documenting, and preserving the rich tangible and intangible folklore of the Hama governorate.
