A group of Andalusian muwashahats and poems by Saeed Farhat (1900-1974) and Fata Dimashq (Damascus Boy) (1926-2005). Saeed Farhat was a composer and religious vocalist born in Damascus, and of Algerian origin. After his studies at Al-Malik Al-Zahir school in Damascus, he began his artistic career at the Institute of Arts as a vocalist and percussionist. He had a prolific career, and was known for his skills in memorizing Egyptian poetry, as well as composing Sufi and Ghazal poems, and portraying them in a special way. Farhat was also a professor of ancient music history at the Oriental Music Institute. Bahajat Aliastadh (1926-2005) was known throughout his artistic career as the "Damascus Boy". He was famous for singing songs and religious poems. Many renown composers such as Omar Al-Batsh and Saeed Farhat composed for him. He worked with Damascus Radio and achieved great success through his career.
