More Info
A collection of popular songs and monologues by Syrian artist Salama Al-Aghawani. The art of political and social monologue has flourished in Syria since the early 1930s thanks to the popular poet Salama Al-Aghawani, who composed and sang in all of his own works. He was able, in a short period of time, to influence the masses who were absorbing and memorizing everything he sang and composed, which can be attributed to the way he was able to express the people’s emotions, feelings, and hostility toward the French colonialists in Syria.
