More Info
This cassette, which appears to be recorded at a wedding given the greetings and ululations that adorn it, features young singer Mohammad Al Ali performing a series of explosive dabke songs. Throughout the performance, he demonstrates an advanced ability to command the stage and lead a dense musical arrangement, particularly impressive given his young age. The young singer from Homs captivated many listeners in the mid-1990s with his simultaneously sweet and powerful voice, earning him the title 'The Miracle Child.' For that brief period, he seemed to be following in the footsteps of George Wassouf. However, his star faded as his artistic activity diminished in later years.
