More Info
This cassette contains a collection of children's songs that a generation of children in the Levant region grew up with during the 1980s, 1990s, and early 2000s, including Kelon Andon Siarat (They All Have Cars) and Ammi Bu Masoud (My Uncle Bu Masoud). The tape demonstrates Lebanon's early influence on children's music in the region, before Syrian influence emerged in the 2000s with the spread of Spacetoon channel. The cassette is attributed to the late Lebanese musician Emil Deeb, who left Lebanon for Canada during the civil war and lived there for the rest of his five decades. Emil composed numerous musical works and frequently collaborated with Lebanese radio, as well as publishing books on music education in Arabic.
