The vocalist Imad Rami, born in Damascus in the 1960s, is undoubtedly the most famous and active Islamic vocalist in the entire region, and has been for more than thirty years. Since the beginning of his career in the 1990s, Rami has recorded more than twenty albums. To date, Rami continues to live in the city of Damascus, performing in its mosques during Ramadan and various other religious occasions.
