More Info
An skillfully performed and richly instrumented collection of Aleppine muwashahat and mawals, performed by the city's son Mustafa Sarmini, who honed his skill in singing various forms of Aleppine music over decades of performing at the city's concerts and events. Mustafa Sarmini began his career as part of the Al-Orouba Youth Club Quartet in Aleppo, alongside his younger brother Radwan Sarmini and musicians Nihad Najjar and Abboud Bashir, before the quartet dissolved and the four separated into individual careers, each achieving considerable success. Mustafa became known specifically for singing mawwals, in addition to the musical heritage of Aleppo, where he continued to live and perform until his death in 2019.
