Here we listen to an early cassette from the career of the somewhat obscure Raqqa singer Malek Alltaem. Despite his lack of fame, the tape shows us a high artistic level of Jazeeran shaabi music, characterized by a unique style in the use and playing of keyboards, full of well-crafted melodic lines and familiar rhythms that are not widely used in Syrian shaabi. Adding to this is Malek Alltaem's skilled singing with his detail-rich voice and melodious timbre. In 2022, Malek Alltaem released the song Kol Al Hala in collaboration with the Kurdish recording studio Hunergeha Welat in Qamishli, which recorded the song with high production standards and released it as a music video. The song achieved millions of listens on various platforms, and more than 4 million views on YouTube alone, and also spread widely in Iraq alongside the Syrian Jazeera.
