This cassette documents a concert performed by Khalil Hoshan in the town of Al Ghaziyeh, where he performs fevered sets of mejwiz, in which his voice and the mejwiz share in warmth and frenzy. Khalil Hoshan hails from either Daraa or Quneitra province in southern Syria, and today lives between southern Syria and Jordan, where he forms a duo with his son Khaled who shares the stage with him at parties and weddings they perform from Syria all the way to the UAE. Khalil Hoshan has primarily specialized in mejwiz and hourani music, alongside his composition of shaabi poetry.
