More Info

Here we listen to the second studio album in the career of Assyrian singer Ninos Oshana, from Hassake province in northeastern Syria. The album was recorded, mixed, and programmed at Babel Studio in Tel Tamer, also in Hassake, and showcases a remarkably high level of production for an independent cassette from early 1990s Syria — in terms of recording quality, arrangement complexity, and overall sonic cohesion. Ninos Oshana has maintained a strong and consistent presence in Syria’s Assyrian music scene from the early 1990s to the present. According to the Assyrian music database Qeenatha, he has released over ten albums, most of them in the Assyrian language, with a few in Arabic.
