SIDE A IS KURDISH TAPED OVER IT - DO NOT PUBLISH THIS TAPE> Released in the early 1990s, this cassette captures Hossam Hosni at a pivotal point in his career—blending cheerful Arab pop sensibilities with heartfelt melodies. The tape reflects his growing reach across the Arab world and the aspirational sound of Egyptian pop during the post-satellite TV era. Hossam Hosni was born in Kuwait City in 1966. He later moved to Cairo to study at the Faculty of Music Education, graduating in 1991, and went on to earn a master’s degree in composition and orchestral conducting in 2001. From a young age, he showed musical talent through school performances in singing, playing, and composing. He eventually formed a creative duo with lyricist Antar Hilal, crafting a pop style marked by simplicity and charm.
