More Info
This cassette begins with a late-night phone call between poet Mohammed Rahima Al Tai and poet Utarid Abdul Khaliq, exchanging romantic poetry and revealing emotions through Iraqi verse, followed by Iraqi love songs, or portions of them, by some of Iraq's most important singers like Kadim Al Sahir, Qasim Al Sultan, and Hatem Al Iraqi, interrupted every few minutes by more poetic exchanges between the two poets. An ambitious and creative format that shows the different experimental ventures that cassette recording companies would sometimes undertake in the region.
