Despite being a studio album, this cassette feels closer to a live concert recording, as shaabi mawals and dabke songs interweave through smooth transitions without clear boundaries separating them, while Hadi Rahhal sings with a soaring, unleashed voice more suited for stages than studio rooms. The album shows how many shaabi singers brought live performance aesthetics with them to the studio, unconcerned with producing separate songs or radio-friendly music. Hadi Rahhal comes from the city of Homs. He began singing since childhood, participating in Pioneers (Tala'e) singing competitions then Youth (Shabiba) theatrical singing, before entering and graduating from the Teachers Preparation Institute, Music Department. He has many songs recorded with the General Authority for Radio and Television in Damascus.
