Juliana Jendo is among the most famous and renown modern Assyrian/Chaldean singers. She was born in Zakho, northern Iraq, and later, grew up in Tel Tamer, Hassake (northeastern Syria), before immigrating to the USA in the 1980s. In 1993, she recorded 10 songs at Assyrian-run studios in Australia and Sweden, resulting in the album "Wardeh Deesheh". The album was produced and arranged to feature a variety of genres and musical modes.
