More Info

This compilation tape's songs belong to a wide spectrum of singers, writers, and composers, some obscure and some well-known. Unlike patriotic songs in many Arab countries such as Syria, which have a military sound often manifested through male choruses and massive, strict orchestral arrangements, this collection of Iraqi patriotic songs follows a different path based on borrowing from local and traditional music, from choubi to Latmiyat.
