This live tape documents a concert at Al Shadrwan Restaurant in the Al Rabwah area of Damascus, performed by Damascus singer Farid Iskandar in 1984. Farid Iskandar was born in Damascus in 1943, and achieved success and fame that peaked during the 1960s and 1970s, where he sang pop songs similar to Lebanese pop from that era, many of which he wrote and composed himself. Many of these were broadcast on Syrian radio, such as the song Talabat Minni Ahdiha (She Asked Me to Gift Her) which appears on this tape.
