Iraqi singer Diaa Hussein started singing in 1990 at the age of thirteen – achieving great local fame in record time. In the numerous recordings he made during his career, he sang Iraqi folk songs as well as original compositions in collaboration with contemporary composers. This tape features compositions by both Kazem Mudalal and Ali Al-Badr. Diaa Hussein died in Baghdad of a heart attack in 2014.
