More Info

A 2000 studio album from Khalil Al-Shabbo – a Syrian shaabi singer from the northeastern city of Ras Al-Ain in Hassake, located just at the Syrian-Turkish border. In the early 2000s, during wedding celebrations in the city, Al-Shabbo would sing songs from the region’s heritage in the Shawi dialect, mostly accompanied solely by keyboard . Today, Al-Shabbo lives in Turkey and performs at parties and events hosted by the community from Hassake living there.
