These four sketches were recorded during the many performances of Al Shok Theater from the 1970s to the 1990s. The tape opens with the famous sketch: The Doctor and the Deaf, along with other political comedy sketches.
The Syrian artist Omar Hajjo founded Al Shok Theater in 1969 and wrote all of its shows. He also co-starred in these plays alongside Duraid Lahham, Nihad Kalai, Naji Jabr, and others who were the pioneers in the Syrian theatre and TV. They performed their shows first in Damascus, then in different Arab countries.
