More Info
This cassette from 2002 celebrates the works of six shaabi dabke singers from the Euphrates/Jazeera region: Adnan Al Jabouri, Osama Al Harbi, Monzer Alelo, Omar Souleyman, Salah Haleel, and Mohammed Elforati. The songs feature fast, dense rhythms and choral accompaniment that clearly showcase the traditional character, while the singers alternate with seasoned, rugged voices, faithfully carrying the essence of their Bedouin heritage.
