More Info

We don’t have information about singer Samra' Haddad or her orchestra, but her distinguished voice can be heard here as she performs some of the most popular Syrian folk music of her time in classic Arabic style with arrangements and fidelity that lead us to believe is from the mid-1970s. The cassette itself was purchased in 2006, and is an unofficial duplication. Such tapes were often issued by local cassette merchants with generic images of flowers, trees or other natural scenery on the cover, with handwritten titles.
