In one of his best recordings, Issa Naous shows unmatched prowess in singing mawals and Syrian shaabi songs, with his flexible voice, deep breath, and high spirits. A tape capable of placing Issa at the top of Hama's shaabi scene, and placing Hama at the top of Syria's shaabi scene. Issa Naous hails from the town of Deir Shamil in western rural Hama. He began his career performing Mawwals and Ataba with a warm, sweet voice at private parties and weddings, before recording and releasing his own songs and albums, including "La Tenghashi Ya Flaneh" which became a cornerstone of Syrian folk archive and attracted millions of listens online, helping Issa achieve considerable fame that made him sought after to perform at music festivals in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and Iraq.
