More Info
The song Seba'e Al Falluja (Lions of Fallujah), which the tape borrows its name from and begins with, spread following the American invasion of Iraq, and was repurposed at least in Syria and Palestine. The noisy mixed arrangement on this tape suits the song well, where it seems the player recently acquired keyboards and wanted to find out during the performance what each button does, showering us with various contrasting sounds that give the tape its random uniqueness. Dahham Moussa comes from the town of Hatla, located on the Euphrates River in Deir Ez Zur governorate. Dahham began singing and composing wedding songs in the 1990s, and his fame grew until he became one of the most prominent dabke singers in the Jazira region.
