More Info
Gomidas Band was formed in Aleppo by a group of Syrian Armenian artists in the early-1990’s. With a rich legacy of studio-recorded albums and live performances, Gomidas have gained popularity inside and outside Syria, and are still active today. Aside from their original material, they’ve also performed and recorded covers of famous Arabic pop songs. This tape of cover songs from 1991 represents their distinctive flare for new arrangements of old Arabic hits.
