More Info

This tape includes traditional Levantine songs performed by child singer Zein Al Abdeen, including classics such as Mudallal and 'Al Yani, which we hear here in Zein's tender voice saturated with dialect, accompanied by a hybrid arrangement that combines traditional and shaabi music. Zein Al Abdeen was a beloved child singer from Latakia who had a number of cassette albums during the 1990s. It seems that he stopped singing at the beginning of the new millennium, as apart from rumors and requests on the internet for information about his whereabouts from old fans, not much is known about his adult life at this time.
