Mona Al-Abdullah is a rural Iraqi singer. Her presence was familiar on Iraqi state television in the early nineties via programs devoted to the rural song, alongside many artists of her generation, such as Sajida Obeid, Mayada Ahmed, and others.
This type of rural Iraqi music historically originated in the south of the country, then gradually became a part of Iraq's music and cultural heritage linked to the Iraqi folk song.
